So you have heard the adverts on the television and radio all October long informing you that the Income Tax filing deadline is looming, and you have until 31 October to file your Income Tax return
Now that the paper tax deadline has passed there is not long left to file and pay your tax return for 2010 on the 16th November 2011.

Deadline for Revenue Online Service [ROS] Registration – 11 November
The Tax Return Deadline has been extended by the Revenue Commissioners to midnight on Wed 16th Nov 2011
To avail of this extended deadline tax returns must be filed and paid online. If you are not already linked to us as gents the deadline for registration with the Revenue Online Service [ROS] / linking us as agent is tonight Friday 11th November at midnight.

Tax Deadline Extended – Revenue Clarification – 10 November
Revenue have clarified to McCarthy Accountants that ROS Debit payments will now be taken on the 16th November [rather than the 15th] for all cases, including those already filed. Arrangements for Electronic Pay & Filing Form 11s – Revenue eBrief – 7 November
Form 11s received online by midnight on 16th November will be treated as received on time. Read more about the arrangements for electronic filing in the eBrief here.
Revenue wishes to confirm that the extended filing and payment date for the 2010 Form 11 and any associated payment and the preliminary tax payment for 2011 for those using ROS will be midnight on 16 November 2011 rather than midnight on 15 November 2011.
Our helpdesk and the ROS Technical Helpdesk will be open until midnight on Wednesday the 16 November 2011.
